How stitch drilling works
A sequence of core holes is positioned so the holes overlap and form a continuous opening or cutting line. Hole diameter, spacing and contour affect the amount of material left between holes and the number of drilling operations required.
Plan the contour first
Straight lines are easy to set out, while corners and free-form openings require more control. Before drilling, also check reinforcement, embedded services, water management, rig space and what will happen to the section when it becomes free.
Free-form planning in Concrete Cutter
